With M.I.C. details - Reginald John Wimberley served as Lieut. and Capt. R.E. and served in Egypt from 31/7/15; Trio and M.I.D. confirmed, his address in 1921 was 82 Bath Street, Rugby, and the medals were sent to Mrs. Wimberley at 'Pelham', Lingfield, Surrey.
With copies of the medal rolls and a copy of the London Gazette 27/8/18 confirming the M.I.D. for "distinguished and gallant services and devotion to duty" in Mesopotamia - T./Lieut., Signal Service R.E.
He was born in the Andaman Islands in the Indian Ocean on 14/2/90, the son of Reginald and Frederika Wimberley, and was baptised at Port Blair on 26/3/91. In 1901 he was boarding with a family at Church Aston, Shropshire, and in 1911 he was an electrical engineer living in Wandsworth, London.
He enlisted in 1914 and was commissioned into the R.E. from Cpl. on 5/12/14; T./Lieut. 11/7/15, A./Capt. 1/10/18. After the war he moved to New Zealand and lived in Wellington and Auckland. He died in New Zealand on 14/11/74 aged 84. His W.W.1. papers are at the National Archives.
