E.M. 'Territorial' (G.VI.R. 2nd type). With a box of issue from the Army Medal Office addressed to him at Canterbury House, 39 South Street, Tarring, Worthing, Sussex. George Freeston Savill was born in Lewisham, London S.E., on 27/7/12 and in 1934-35 was living at 19 Chalsey Road, Brockley, London S.E. He married Joyce Turner in Lewisham on 19/11/38. He was commissioned from Cadet in 133rd O.C.T.U. into the R.A. 25/1/41; W.S./Lieut. 25/7/42; E.M. confirmed in the London Gazette 1/4/49 as Lieut. R.A. He died in Worthing on 16/1/1991 aged 78 and his widow died in 2009 aged 99.
