(T.F.) was based at Dover with batteries in Dover, Folkestone, Ramsgate and Deal. The single B.W.M. is confirmed to W.O.2. John D. Falconer, R.F.A. He is also entitled to a T.F.W.M. and a S.W.B., the T.F.W.M. as a Bty-Sgt-Major; the B.W.M. roll shows the same rank. The S.W.B. roll shows that he joined the T.F. on 7/4/08 and was discharged due to sickness on 1/9/16. John Duncan Falconer was born in Dover on 15/7/77, son of John and Cecilia Falconer; in 1901 and 1911 he lived at Moray House, Maison Dieu Road, Dover, and was single; his father was a tailor and shopkeeper and the recipient worked in the family business. He married Bessie Murch in Dover in 1914 and died on 16/6/40 at "Overlands", South Road, River, Dover. The family were prominent in local affairs and the recipient was on the board of the Dover and East Kent Building Society for 29 years.
