Korea 1950-53 (1st type) (Cfn., R.E.M.E.); U.N. Korea; G.S.M. 1918-62 (E.II.R. 2nd type) one clasp 'Malaya' (Dvr., R.A.S.C.). Initials are 'G.A.' on latter but number confirms. Good condition. With various original documents including his Regular Army Attestation - George Daniel Crewe was born at Toxteth, Liverpool, on 25/5/31 and was single and a porter when he enlisted in the R.E.M.E. on 2/8/49. He had served for 13 months in the Air Training Corps and signed on for 5 years' service and 7 years in the Army Reserve. With his original Army Reserve form - posted to the Reserve on 14/7/54 as a Cfn. R.E.M.E. and lived at 38 The Willows, Liverpool 5; in case of emergency he was to report to 34 Base Workshop R.E.M.E. at Donnington in Shropshire. With his original discharge notification as Dvr. R.A.S.C. on 29/1/60 (medical discharge); and his T.A. attestation form dated 29/4/62. At this time he was a lorry driver living at 17 Humber Street, Liverpool 4; he had previously served for 7 years and 157 days in the R.A.S.C. His T.A. service was as a Gnr. in 'P' Bty. 470th Regt. R.A. (Liverpool Irish). With a War Office exercise book containing all the notes he made whilst on No. 138 Air Despatch Course with No. 47 (Air Despatch) Coy. R.A.S.C. from 4/12/57 onwards; and with details of this unit. With a photocopy of a page from his passport which contains a photograph of him and describes him as a government official born in Liverpool on 25/5/31. He was born in 1931, married in Liverpool in 1961 and died there in November 1995.
